I'm Kat - founder of Binary Refinery.
Someone who has spent the better part of twenty years at the intersection of technology, strategy, and business leadership.
Before starting Binary Refinery, I served as General Manager of Technology and Marketing at a nationwide New Zealand financial services organisation - responsible for technology strategy, data and analytics, cybersecurity, and digital transformation across the group. I led M&A digital due diligence, built governance frameworks from the ground up, and helped a 160-person organisation navigate its first serious AI adoption.
I've sat at executive tables and in boardrooms, and I understand the decisions that get made there. I hold an MBA from the University of Canterbury, am a Certified Google AI Professional, and bring board-level governance experience to the work.
